Sorry to jump on your post, but I am in a similar situation.

Current non b valid until June 30th.

Current work permit valid until June 12th.

I won't be continuing with my current employer, so I assume both need cancelling and proceed on a 7 day visa?

Thanks in advance of any replies.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster has a Non-B visa valid until June 30th and a work permit valid until June 12th. They are unsure about the cancellation process since they won’t continue with their current employer. Comments clarify that the Non-B visa itself does not need to be cancelled; it is valid until the date stamped upon entry. However, the work permit and any extension of stay based on employment must be cancelled. After cancellation, the poster will be eligible for visa amnesty which allows them to stay until July 31, 2020. If an extension is cancelled, they normally have to leave Thailand immediately, unless applying for a different extension, which could lead to a brief grace period.

This post is starting to get hijacked, AND the OP hasn't responded. I'm closing comments.

IF the OP has a Single Entry Non-B visa that's valid until June 30th, there is nothing to cancel.

IF the OP has an extension of stay based on employment, that must be canceled at the same time as the work permit.

Once the OP cancels the extension of stay based on employment, the OP will go on the visa amnesty, which will let him stay no later then July 31, 2020.

Canceling the work permit and extension of stay is free.

There is no "seven day visa". Before the amnesty, when an extension of stay based on employment is canceled, a person has until 11:59PM THE SAME DAY to leave Thailand. If they can not leave Thailand, they can apply for another extension of stay for 1,900 THB, which would be denied and they would have 7 days to leave Thailand.

I believe this answers any potential questions.

Is the same true of the Non-O dependent visa, one-year extension? It's good until the Admitted until date?

Sure.

That's a completely different question - i don't even know if the OP has a visa OR an extension of stay. Can you make your own post?

a Non Immigrant B visa can not be cancelled, you can stay until the Admitted until date you got on entry.

You have to cancel your Work Permit,

There is no 7 day visa in Thailand

Do you have an extension of stay based on employment that is valid until June 30th ("the stamp") OR a full page sticker in your passport that has been stamped "used"?

> so I assume both need cancelling and proceed on a 7 day visa

I do not know what a 7 day visa is - what is that?
