TLDR : Answer Summary
The amount of 800,000 THB for the renewal of the O-A visa does not necessarily need to come from abroad. When applying for a Non Immigrant O-A visa from your home country, the funds can be in any bank of your choice. However, to apply for an Extension of Stay at a local Immigration Office in Thailand, the funds must be in a local Thai bank account in your name. It's also noted that procedures may vary by location, as some immigration offices in Phuket and Bangkok might have different acceptance criteria.

Well on Phuket they Accept a mixture or....bank and " income of money " as well ....as some embassy or consulates don't give out a letter of income anymore.....
