Request by PM to not name the person:

The history:

I have been here since 2014. American passport.

2014 & 2015: non-B 3 month METV

2016: METV

2017: Non-F then passport expired 2018:

Transferred Non-F to new passport Then new job and 3-month Non-Bs until June 2019

2019: 3 month non-Bs until June

Non-ED until now 2020: Non-ED expires on March 5

Expected job offer to come in late April from Thai company with a non-B and work permit. I know they're serious. So I need to know how to bridge the gap.

Different Non Immigrant B used as the companies or NGO never got that far to apply for Work Permits.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster has been in Thailand since 2014, holding various visa types including Non-B and Non-ED. Their current Non-ED visa expires in March 2020, and they anticipate receiving a job offer in April that requires a Non-B visa and work permit. The discussion suggests making a border run and extending the visa to cover the gap until the new visa is issued, while advising against working illegally in the meantime.

Good to see that a person want to get a legal alien after 5 year of working illegal in Thailand.

With you history a Tourist visa in nearby Thai Consulates will be a gamble to get.

I would say, do the border runs for 30 days and Extensions to cover the gap until April.

BUT DO NOT WORK ANYMORE.

Stop your activities, get in April a new Non Immigrant B visa and wait at home doing nothing else then reading books and computer games until your work permit is READY, collect it and then go work.

void the ED visa, make a border run for 30 days, extend for further 30 days, if needed. So he covered for March to Early May.
