TLDR : Answer Summary
Phil Collins inquired about leaving Thailand for 4 months after obtaining his extension of stay based on marriage. Commenters clarified that he could leave anytime without issue, but emphasized the need to complete the 90-day reporting requirement if staying in Thailand for that duration. They noted that after applying for a yearly extension, he would receive a temporary 30-day stamp, after which he can obtain the full extension and must purchase a re-entry permit if planning to exit Thailand.
90 DAY REPORTING RESOURCES / SERVICES
Use the trusted Thailand 90 Day Reporting Service to get your in-person report done and mailed to you for as low as 375 THB (even if the online system doesn't work for you).

, it would have helped stating WHEN you were wanting to go back to your country.
This is how your extension process is gonna work.
You will apply for a yearly extension based on marriage to a thai.
You will get a 30 day under consideration stamp
On that date you will go back and get the year extension inked into your passport.
THEN
you will buy a re-entry permit (single 1000baht, multiple 3800baht) and you can exit/re-enter and keep your extension alive

Okay, I need people to READ the original post again.
The O/P says they are applying for an extension tomorrow, AND they want to leave and go home for 4 months "IN THE SUMMER". <- which to me in at some indeterminate time in the future but certainly not in the next month or so.
I deleted b/s off topic comments, READ, and ask questions BEFORE you offer out bad advice

ORIGINAL POSTER
You can leave when ever you want, never seen or heard people denied exit. The 90 day report is a report that you make if you're actually and physically 90 days inside Thailand.
