a question asked in another topic, to avoid confusion.

the best is to make your own topic with questions.

Jonathan Pressburger

]([members only] have a non B, entered 2002, extended every year for retirement consecutively until now. This year hoping to change reason for extension (thanks a bunch UK embassy for no longer providing "income letter") with evidence (i hope) of greater than 40k a month transferred from abroad (but less than 65k :( ). At one point the non-B became a non-RE it appears. A mystery to me, but as long as they kept extended the extension It never worried me, nor did i notice it until yesterday :). Thoughts VERY welcomed

TLDR : Answer Summary
Jonathan Pressburger shared his experience regarding the transition from a Non-B visa to what appears to be a Non-RE visa after multiple extensions for retirement in Thailand. He inquired about the implications of changing his extension reason, mentioning difficulties with income verification due to changes at the UK embassy. A commenter clarified that his past Non-B visa has become invalid, but he can still apply for a one-year extension based on age or marriage, provided he meets specific financial conditions.

You did had a Non Immigrant B visa, which is invalid for a long time, but the Admitted until period you got on entry by using this visa is yearly Extended with the reason that you are over 50 years of age.

You can at the end of your current permitted up to stay apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay based on being married to a Thai National You have to meet the financial requirements for that and one of these are the minimum of 40.000 Thb monthly foreign deposits into a Thai bank for the period of at least 12 months prior the application date.

If you leave the country and you come back you will see in the new entry stamp the visa class Non RE, this is NOT a new name for your visa but short for Visa class Non Immigrant and used the Re-Entry Permit.

As your Embassy still hands out the Income Affidavit, you can use that. The bank statements are only used in case your Embassy does not provide this Income Affidavit.

For my proof of transfers into Thailand I print off my NZ bank credit card statements. Do a sworn affidavit at the NZ embassy the documents are genuine. The statements show money being paid from my credit card account each month to the Thai bank accounts of the likes of Tesco Lotus, Lazada Pizza 1112 True, Together they amass as an average of about THB30K, Pluis I have bank transfers for condo lease of over THB20K per month. I have money also sitting in a BKK bank investment account since January which has never fallen below THB400K. My question is this; Was I just lucky last extension at CW and Have the goalposts been moved or should I start being concerned. After all that's what Xmas is all about yes?
