Answer summary
The user is seeking help to retrieve their TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) number after accidentally deleting the email containing it. Comments suggest that it's generally not necessary to have the physical or digital TDAC, as immigration systems usually have the information logged once it's been submitted online. Many users highlighted that during their immigration processes, they were not asked for their TDAC number, as it is linked to their passport in the immigration system. Users recommend logging into the TDAC website to retrieve the information, while others emphasized the importance of keeping digital records or screenshots of important documents to prevent issues.

I recently renewed my Non O marriage visa in Korat for the fourth year. They didn't want my DTAC number from a recent visit to Vietnam but wanted my TM6 from three years ago connected to my now out of date, old UK passport (My new passport had all relevant stamps transferred into it by Korat Immigration) and the 90 entry certificate from my initial UK Thai Embassy application to retire here on a Non O marriage visa! The list gets bigger, better and longer every year. Never throw anything and always take everything is my motto.
This reminds me when I went to the States for school as an international student, many students removed a small white paper with a hand writing on, stapled on their passports. Later, they were all requested to go back to the airport at which they landed for a new copy of that. Very fortunately, that was only a few miles away !
I’m glad that I didn’t bother to remove it because I first entered San Francisco for a week and then flew to my new school in Michigan.
That was back in 2001. My conclusion is :
Never remove, or discard anything about immigration without first asking the authority ! 🫡🫡
I just did mine today, done online and only needed date of arrival, date of visa expiry and my passport details...was surprised how easy it was😅. Can do online except for the 1st one.
A week ago I entered Thailand, didn’t show mine. But as someone else said, it’s probably linked to your passport. Person in front of me didn’t have it, sent back to fill out and line up again.
Last time I entered from a Holiday in Vietnam, I asked the Immigration Oficer if she wanted to see my TDAC on my phone. She said "No thanks, it's in the system". Don Mueng Airport.
Hai San TDAC is merely an electronic copy of the important info travelers USED TO enter on the paper cards the airline attendants used to hand out on the plane to be handed over on entry into Thailand, and most other countries as well.
Just for future reference, you may be able to retrieve from your deleted items folder in your email client. I use hotmail and deleted items up to a month old can be retrieved.
My friend did this and he was screwed. He ended up having to go across the border again. Back when it wasn't frowned upon. Local Immigration office had no record of it, or at least, claimed that they didn't. Probably too lazy to look it up.
Please IGNORE all the good advice suggesting you Do Not require TDAC. The truth is you Must show either a hard copy or a digital copy of your TDAC at the immigration ( your nationality / passport is irrelevant ) OR No Entry into Thailand period
I've entered Thailand twice since the DTAC came into force and have not been asked for it. I am assuming it is the same system as Singapore where it is linked to your passport, so when that is scanned (in Singapore with no humans present) at immigration, the fact that it has been satisfactorily completed will be on the system. In addition, DTAC is not required for 90 day reporting.
Because they can see from their screen.... they scan your passport and if you have a valid TDAC it will show up on the screen beside your details..... so there's no need to see your physical copy.
Ian Cameron Dear Ian , you must have been watching a lot of Ian Fleming stuff else you are simply fibbing - grow up , Stop this *entitled sh#t" ( does not work anywhere, anymore) , drop down to earth Do Not MISLEAD innocent travellers ( and Yes , your allegiance to Charles is admirable ... inspite of all the criticism, I quite like the fella , too ) 🙏
Mohammed Mohsin Bakar No need to show a hard copy - it's digital and on the Immigration Officer's screen as you go through. You don't need it for the 90 day report for the same reason
Log back into the tdac site and send yourself another QR code. Last 2 times I entered they didn’t even ask for my QR code. I think it’s linked to your name when you hand them your passport.
Hombre - take it or leave it - I take my passport (nothing else ) to JE Concierge in Pattaya, give them 500 baht and collect the next day - heaven for me
May Cho I've never needed it once I go through Immigration, and I'm in the back of a Grab with nothing to do, so... yeah. I respond to messages and emails, and delete useless stuff on my phone to stay awake until I get home.
Duncan Morton yes you do. If you want to do an extension, 90 day report. In fact anything to do with immigration. It's a record of when you entered the country. It's a legal document.
Lizzie Robertson no it’s not , maybe for you and your hippie mates , retirement visa just go in with passport and TM30 , my entry record is stamped on my passport, for example what about someone who has been here before TDACs where introduced, and have never left the country what do they do ,,,,, use the stamp in there passport
I have read reports that a signed in blue ink copy of the recent TDAC was needed when the person applied for the 1-year extension of stay. Never saw a report, however, that it was requested for a 90-days report
Don't worry about it immigration will not require it.
If you are thinking the TDAC is the same as the TM6, it isn't. On the various forms you still get asked for TM6 details. If you arrived by air then you just answer N/A or leave blank.
