How long should I give myself in Vietnam to secure a DTV and return to Thailand?

I’m planning to book return flights from Thailand to Vietnam (Hanoi) and apply for my DTV from there. I need the return ticket, so do I give myself 2 weeks? 3? If I return before the DTV is issued then I guess my DTV application gets cancelled so I’m nervous. But I’d rather not spend a whole month in Vietnam just for DTV

Was told by a fellow DTV holder that as long as you leave the country after 6 months, the 6 months gets reset

the way i read it, was that it is 6 months out of a year we get on a DTV but he seemed to think it just renews as long as you leave the country even if you have already stayed 6 months

interested to see if this is the case, great result if so but not how I have read it

I’m looking to extend my visa or apply for an ED visa in Bangkok or Pattaya.

If anyone has info or can help, please let me know:

Thanks a lot 🙏

If I enter with a soft power dtv course that is 6 months, I have the visa for 5 years? Do I need to be enrolled in something constantly or every time I enter the country? Or one course and I am good for 5 years? Any other forms needed when I am there or needed to be updated other than 90 day reports? TM30?

Thank you 🙏

Hi. I've arrived in Thailand last week on a DTV and still trying to get my head around the DTV process.

Is the maximum amount of time I have to stay in Thailand 180 days total for the year from the date I arrived in Thailand?

If I was to fly to Malaysia/Vietnam before the 90 day extension report, would I still be able to do this throughout the year? Or is it capped up until 180 days have been stayed in Thailand?

Apologies if this has already been asked before.

Thanks

If 60-day Visa exemption is reduced to 30-day...

Then does it mean that today's 60-Day Tourist eVisa will also be cut off to 30-Day? Or has it always worth 60-day of stay since forever ago?

I know my flight to Thailand is still months ahead, December to be precise. We will stay for 51 days. I've posted this once, and Tod was greatly advicing me to get an eVisa for Tourist instead of relying on political uncertainty, ease of mind rather than going through all these months in anxiety. -- i'm the type who cant have peace of mind unless everything is done and ready perfectly with all "IFs" eliminated

(And yes, i rather not wasting all day to queue at Bkk immigration office close to new year eve! Been there, done that and it was HORRIBLE!)

Lastly, how far ahead can you apply for Tourist eVisa? Considering the "possibility" of 60-Day Tourist eVisa gets slashed off to 30-Day (that means i really cant avoid visiting immigration office by the end of year), can i technically apply for Thailand Tourist eVisa this month and succesfully get it now? Or will my online application be flat-out rejected for the obvious reason that i still have 8 months to go.

Thanks.

DTV requirements

So for the DTV visa requirements do you have to be consistently enrolled in a training course/programme the whole 5 years of the visa life, or is it acceptable to enrol in a 6 month course, then maybe take 6 months or so off before enrolling in another course?
