Jay Whitmeyer, proces to apply for an Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age, does not fit as reply on the question about banked money for a Visa based on marriage.

[Jay Whitmeyer]([members only]) [Tod Daniels]([members only]) quick question Todd . I’m going in a Friday for extension based on retirement, first time doing so .I’ve had all the funds and paperwork required in order for some time . Is there a “ 30 days under consideration “ for this extension as well ? I’ll let you know the outcome here in Maehongson

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process to apply for an Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age allows for a direct one-year extension to be stamped in your passport if all requirements are met. There is no waiting period or '30 days under consideration' for this specific extension.

If you like to travel in that year, you can also directly apply for a Single or Multiple Re-Entry Permit.
