Be aware if you visit Birma (Myanmar) for a new tourist Visa.

It seems that many handed out visa's are fake.

before 2018 i always got visa stickers when i applied for tourist visa for thailand but this year i got visa stamp instead of paper sticker and it really got me in troubles IO asked me so many questions and i was almost sent back home without entering to thailand. scary experience!! and it was done with my long term agency company which i used them so many times. not so sure the problem is from agencies or embassy!!

This was in the news 19th July. "In another case a husband and wife who applied for visas at the same time were found to have one fake and one genuine visa."

Someone who has been to Yangon more recently than I may wish to correct me, but I'm pretty sure in Myanmar local people and nationals of third countries (i.e. foreigners like us) go through a slightly different process, deal with different staff, and therefore this story is likely only to affect Myanmar nationals (for the time being). It's probably a good reminder not to use dodgy agents though.

Are there many Burmese nationals in this group?
Sai ****
of cos there are !! and thanks for the post

Good thinking, it might actually effect all nationals and not just Burmese.
