Ralph Davidson is asking in another topic

Ralph Davidson Hope this query fits admins guidelines. Any suggestions as to which border crossings are favourable at the moment for 3 month renewels for marriage visa - looking for day trips to Myanmar or Cambodia. (visa was obtained august in savannakhet and first renewal was trip to Oz.) Asking because I haven't done a visa run in years and am not up to speed. I use to use Poipet. Cheers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Ralph Davidson is seeking advice on favorable border crossings for 3-month renewals of his marriage visa, specifically looking for options for day trips to Myanmar or Cambodia. Comments suggest avoiding the Poipet border due to inconsistent rules and fees, while recommending the Phu Nam Ron border in Kanchanaburi province as a more reliable option. It is emphasized that the process involves exiting Thailand and re-entering to secure a new 90-day stay stamp, not an actual visa renewal.

Thanks gentlemen, looks like the hardest part will be waking up in time to get to Tesco Onnut by 4.30.๐Ÿ˜€

Depending where you are in thailand the easiest border for a bounce like that is the Phu Nam Ron border with Myanmar in Kanchanaburi province.

This company runs there from Bangkok

Poipet Border is not recommended because of their sometimes strange rules to let you get back into Thailand. Or they want extra money or they want you to stay overnight in Cambodia. For the rest every border checkpoint is okay to use to activate a new 90 day period of stay by using your 1 year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant O visa base on marriage. You do not renew the visa, you just stamp out of Thailand, stamp in/out other country and get a new stamp for a new 90 day period into Thailand.
