Thank you for the information. You are wonderful. Forgive me for troubling you. If a person hold a retirement visa but cannot renew the visa due to lacking one of the the requirement. He can then cancel the extension and qualify for the amnesty? Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A person holding a retirement visa who is unable to meet renewal requirements can cancel their extension. However, they can continue using their one-year Extension of Stay until its expiration date.

Why cancel, the person has his 1 year Extension of Stay and can use that until the last date.

As to whether he then qualifies for the amnesty to July 31...??

We believe he does qualify...

Let the current extension of stay expire...no action needed.

The person then is covered by the amnesty extension to July 31.

I do not believe the person got younger than 50 years, so he still meet the requirement of being over 50 years of age.

If he can not meet other requirements for a new 1 year Extension has nothing to do with the current one

I believe what the OP is asking is the person needs to cancel the extension of stay because they no longer meet the requirements for the extension of stay based on retirement.
