You can apply during the last 45 days of your permitted to stay period for a new 1 year Extension of Stay.

You might explain Immigration with tickets to proof you both are leaving and apply earlier, but be aware there is a 1 month under consideration period.

Foreigners do not need exit permits to leave Thailand, all they need to do is hand over the passport to Immigration at land borders or on airports before departure.

For the Re-Entry Permit, which will be valid as long as your current permitted stay:

Copy ID page passport

1 passport picture

Application form you get from Immigration

1.000 Thb for Single Entry or 3.800 Thb for multiple re-entry.

If your employer is already working on the needed documents, it is more easy to apply abroad at a Thai Embassy for the Non Immigrant B visa (less requirements).

Let your employer send all the documents to you and apply before you make your way into Thailand, no hassly about entry without visa and onward travels.

You can still come without the visa and use a Visa Exempt Entry.

There is no official limit of using these or how long you an be inside Thailand, but an Immigration Officer is doing his job at the airport when he ask you questions about your long period of stays in the country without a proper visa.

You can just leave, the exit stamp will cancel this application based on unable to travel.

Safe travels.

Thanks for the feed back and keep it simple.

You come back to marry in Thailand so that will be the reason to tell if you get asked, do not try to find some other stories, the truth is easy.

Do or do not? That is the question, I would say call the Immigration Office who has your application under consideration and ask. They are the ones who put the stamp with 11 months stay inside your passport depending on meeting requirements.

No problem to apply next time for the Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age, but you have to meet the requirements like 2 months prior application a minimum of 800.000 Thb on a Thai bank account on your name.

Less paperwork to copy but more money in the bank, choise is yours.
Robert *******
No penalty if come back later than mentioned on application for re-entry permit.

But make sure you enter before your last date of permitted to stay, otherwise a new visa is needed.
