On the subject of being denied entry based on the amount of time spent here even when following there rules, is there a specific number of days per year that is too many? Is it a calendar year or based on the first entry?
Do denials of entry (because of too many tourist visas or visa exempt entries) seem to happen more often at airports than at land borders?
I am wondering if it's better to fly to a nearby country like Malaysia and enter Thailand overland instead of flying directly into Thailand.
Even though I haven't been in Thailand for 1.5 years now, I have entered visa exempt quite a few times in the years before that and am worried about being forced to fly back home, since I read about so many people being denied entry recently (especially at airports?).
Can I ask a question which has been answered before. It’s because the rules change so frequently, I’ve just spent 2 months in Thailand ( I’m from uk ) my holiday finished on the 22nd of may … how long is it before I can come again to Thailand ( 3 months this time ) … is it 6 month gap ??? Thank you for your time & patience
I think should be ok but wouldn’t mind having my mind put at ease
Went to Thailand twice towards the end of last year on a British passport using the (what was) 60 day visa free entry, both trips were roughly 50 days each. Am going again for Songkran, this time for 3 weeks
Is there any chance they might refuse me entry? I have heard it all depends on the immigration officer you get on the day
I would like to ask if this is okay with the Thai Immigration regarding the timeline of my stay here in Thailand.
60days🇹🇭 - (Dec. 2024-Jan. 2025)
2 Weeks🇵🇭 - Mainland (Jan.)
60days🇹🇭 - (Feb. - March)
3days🇲🇾 - Malaysia (March)
and I will go back again here in Thailand with my husband, who has a DTV. We (our infant) are still not under his DTV. Are they not going to hold us when we go back here again in Thailand?
Hi everyone, I’m in Thailand on a British passport, I have been across the boarder into Loa , re-entered Thailand and received a 60day stamp , I now wish to stay longer .. If I fly to Vietnam for a weeks stay and then return to Thailand by air will I receive another 60day stamp ?? Also can I just fly into Vietnam or do I have to have a Visa before arrival ?? TIA …. 😐
stayed in Thailand this year on a METV from January until July (6 months). Planning to come back in November on a SETV.
Is there any valid reason that immigration could pull me over or should that not be the case since I stayed out of Thailand for over 3 months?
(one immigration officer some time ago told me: staying out of Thailand for min 3 month gives no space to assume one living in Thailand as a Tourist anymore... ?)
