I have a retirement visa valid to Jan ‘26 I want to leave Thailand for a few months and have a re entry permit stamp in my passport allowing 1 re entry . Do I need to go to immigration to tell them my plans for leaving or is the re entry permit stamp I have enough to get back into Thailand
Ho all. On a 90 day, Non-O, single entry obtained in the UK.
If i get a re-entry permit and leave and re-enter before the 90 days is up, will I get an additional 90 days or only up until when the original 90 days was due to end? In/out via plane. Thanks in advance for any info.
I have a DTV valid until July 2025. I plan to travel outside of Thailand temporarily. Do I need a re-entry permit to leave and return? When I come back to Thailand, will my visa still be valid with the same expiry date?
I would appreciate it if anyone could answer. Thank you in advance.
Hi all just wondering if anyone had recently got a re-entry permit from Bkk ? I need to get one there as I won't be near any immigration office and I just wanted to know how much time I need to put aside to do this at the airport? Many thanks 🙏🏼
Hi! My son ,Italian nationality, holds a Non-O Immigrant visa attending school in Phuket. This summer we will return to Italy for the holidays where he will renew his passport as it is not valid for more than 6 months. My question is: can he return to Thailand with the new passport along with the old one ( where the Visa stamp is) without having problems at the airport Immigration, and then transfer the Visa in the new passport once in Phuket? Thanks for your help
I live in Koh Samui. My old passport has my non b visa in but doesn’t have space for a re-entry stamp.
My new passport is ready to be collected in Bangkok and then I want to fly home to Europe.
- Can I get a re-entry permit into my new passport at BKK on my way out and travel with two passports (visa in old passport and reentry in new passport)?
- Or can I go to an immigration in Bangkok and transfer the visa to my new passport, or do I need to return to koh samui for this?
I’d like to avoid having to travel back to Koh Samui to sort this out.
Quick question: If I get the Non O, deposit the 800K, and after three months get the extension to 1 year, do I have to stay in Thailand for the whole 9 months until further extension, or can I leave, and come back before the first year is over? Thanks all for your reply, much appreciated.
I'm currently living in Bangkok on a yearly retirement visa. I'm heading back to the UK before my visa expires for a few weeks visit and am thinking about applying for a DTV whilst in London to return on, soft power Cooking. Is there likely to be an issue related to the fact that I have a retirement visa still or have been here for a number of years on different visas? all legitimate. Any friendly advice welcome.
Could somebody please tell me if i need to go to Jakarta for one day and return to Thailand the same day how do i navigate the new entry visa requirements
I am on a retirement visa in Thailand but need to pickup my daughter from Indonesia and bring her to Thailand for a holiday
She is to frightened to travel on her own and she is only 12
Just been to Samut Prakan immigration for a 1 year extension. Instead of asking me to come back in 30 days with updated bank book, they’ve asked me to come back on the day my non O 90 day visa expires (about 50 days from now)
I can do this but was thinking of doing a trip in those extra 20 days. Don’t really want to do a re entry to then get another reentry on the extension.
Question is, is this the rule or did they mess it up? Could have sworn it was 30 days from application.
