You need 800.000 Thb in a Thai bank account as foreign deposit to apply in country for a Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years of age

1. Yes, you have to apply for a new Thailand pass

2. On entry you will get a new 30 day Visa Exempt Entry, which you can extend again with a 30 day Extension of Stay based on tourism.

3. You can do this at any Immigration Office in Thailand.

As long as you enter before the expiry date of the visa you get 1 year of stay

The Extension of Stay is maximum 1 year or until epiry date of passport, what ever comes first.

Inform Immigration at application that your wife will not be at home or even in country during the visit. The purpose of the visit is to meet you both at the address to see if you life together.
