I am applying for the long-term resident visa , is there any benefit to picking it up before entering the country? I could fly down to LA if I had to, if there is any advantage.

Also I was just told this by the person answering ltr visa questions. But I’m not sure what this means in practice “The pre-screening document service is currently unavailable. You are advised to submit your visa application, along with the required documents into the system first. Our staff will begin reviewing your application once submitted.”

Has anyone done a 90-day report with the DTV Visa in Bangkok?

If so:

- What's the process like?

- Where's the best place to do it?

- What documents should I bring?

- Do I need to do it in person or can I pay somebody else?

Thank you!

Hi, I'm here on the DTV visa and need to do 90 day report soon. Can someone confirm that I should be going to IT Square Laksi rather than Chang Wattana? (have heard people going to CW were directed to IT Square). Also I wanted to book the appointment on-line but the IT Square choices do not include 90 day reporting.

Thanks

DTV extension update!

First of all, yes everyone knows that we can fly out for another 180 days. But there may be people like me who would just extend cos we want it this way. And it’s for me to decide. No need any suggestions on what i should do. I’m only here to share the updates for DTV extension based on my visit to immigration today.

1. Your bank statement. You MUST have that 500k in your bank account for minimum one month. They asked me to bring my updated bank book too. They are extremely particular about that and they took a good amount of time to check in details.

2. Your professional portfolio. (It can vary if you applied with different route. But for my case i applied as a freelanced digital nomad.) So you must prepare a document stating what have you done during that 180 days in Thailand and what you will do in the next 180 days IN DETALS. Otherwise, it’s a no.

3. TM30 is also needed to be updated.

4. Visa extension fees is 1900. Yes, it’s confirmed.

No, i wasn’t fit to extend this time. But my visa is due in the mid of February. So will try again next month. 😁

Hello! I've been reading past posts but I'm still unsure about the requirements/process for the 30 day extension. We (myself, husband, and baby) are US citizens and want to extend our current 60 day entry. We are in Bangkok area. Do we have to wait until a week before to apply? How do we show exit tickets if we don't know if we will be approved yet? What is the fee for the 3 of us? Do we all need passport photos even though we would all be going in person with our passports? Thanks for any help!

Time to renew my non o visa based on having a Thai child. I have done this a few times but would like some advice in case anything has changed.

I am still married but we changed the non o specification based on a technicality. My current visa expires on December 31 2024. I am eager to apply as late as possible to avoid having to apply in December every year. Given bangkok immigration office closures on December 30-31, I am considering going on December 27th.

I will bring:

Completed TM7 with photos,

my child’s birth certificate in English and Thai,

letter from his school confirming his attendance,

marriage certificate,

my wife’s Thai id and tabian baan,

receipt of TM30,

12 months stamped bank statements

proof of funds going back 3 months having over 400,000 THB in a Thai bank

2 pics outside the house, 2 pics inside the house, Map of applicant house in Thailand

I will make 2 copies of everything.

Is there anything I am missing or that I should be aware of?

Thanks so much for all your support 🙏
