Im currently in CM on a STV, due for the final visa extension next month. Its my understanding this is single entry, is there any way around this as I'd like to go away for 1 week without losing the remaining 3 month extension? Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Special Tourist Visa (STV) is a single-entry visa, meaning that once you leave Thailand, you cannot return on the same visa. However, it may be possible to apply for a Single Re-Entry Permit at your local Immigration Office before leaving, which would allow you to keep your current extension valid. It is crucial to verify the rules with your local immigration authority regarding the ability to extend your STV after leaving Thailand.

Apply for a Single Re-Entry Permit to keep your current Extension of Stay alive at your Immigration Office.

Sorry but the STV is single entry only. No possible way to leave and return with it.

As
@Robert ******
has stated in reply...you may be able to get a reentry permit for your return to Thailand...and be stamped in for the remaining time left on your current STV extension.

But please ask your local Thai immigration office...

If you're still able to obtain your third extension if you do leave ???

I am of the belief you cannot further extend the STV if you leave Thailand.

So please double check with the Thai immigration office.

And report back to us what they tell you.

Thank you.
