Good morning, so in 2 months and 3 weeks I am going to apply for the retirement visa non-o in Jomtien as I will reach 50 yo.

I have the 800k sent by international transfer that have been sitting for years in my Bangkok bank account.

My first question is what needs to be done with the bank in advance. I am going to update the bankbook at the machine every months from now.

Do I have to get a letter certifying the funds have been there for a while with the bank as well ? Should I wait the day after I am 50 yo to ask for this letter?

Any other administrative stuff that need to be done long before applying for the visa. Thanks

Hi, Im an Australian passport holder, I want to stay in Thailand about 40 days under the Visa Exemption scheme for up to 60 days, then spent a week in Malaysia and come back to Thailand for another 30 days. Can I re-enter through the same process to receive another 60-day stay or I need to apply for Multiple entry visa. Thank you

"I want to ask about the bank letter for a 1-year extension. My Bangkok Bank account is from another province, which is about 6 hours away from where I currently live. So I want to get the letter from a nearby branch. Can I get the letter from any branch, or do I have to get it from the branch where I opened the account? If I get it from my original branch, it will take me another 6 hours to return. I’ve heard that the bank letter can only be used on the same day — is that true? Can someone advise me, thank you."

Hello everyone!

My dad, after hiring an agent, he has just returned to Thailand from Vietnam and was stamped with a non-o visa. His plan is to do the retirement extensions every year.

I'd love to hear about other's experiences with getting the residence certificate to sign up for a thai bank account and the process of applying for the retirement extension. Was the process easy? I'm looking for advice from people that didn't use an agent.

Silly question time again. I’ve got advice from this group, that I need a 90 day Non immigrant visa to help with a bank account application. What do I select as purpose of visa? As there is no O visa option just O-A

TIA

TM 30 query.

I just did my TM 47 ( 90 day notification) today. I have a retirement visa for the past 7 years. This is my 3rd time doing a TM 47 coz i always travel in and out of Thailand.

The immigration officer asked for my TM30. Actually, this is the first time i was asked about TM30. Anyway, she said it is required everytime you re enter Thailand. Please let me know what is the easiest way to comply with this.

This is my first time to encounter TM30. I stay in a condo i owned for the past 20 years.

Thanks for the help.

I'm currentlt on a 90 day tourist visa however just realised my return flight I've previously booked and paid for, my departure date will take me past my 90 day visa by an extra 6 days.

Will this cause me issues upon departure at the airport ?

Once your non-O visa has been granted does this mean that the 90 days start immediately or only when you enter the country?
