Hello everyone, and thank you in advance for your help. I’m currently on a student visa and planning to apply for a DTV visa in July. I understand that I’m not allowed to work on a student visa, but I’ve recently been offered a remote job from abroad. I would like to switch to a DTV visa to ensure that I’m fully compliant with the laws in Thailand.

My questions are:

1. How can I show proof of my salary (which will be paid through SWIFT to my Thai bank account) given that I’m not currently allowed to work on a student visa?

2. Over the past three years, I haven’t paid any taxes because I was on a student visa. I’ve been living off savings from my previous job. If they ask for proof of tax payments, how should I handle this situation?

I’d greatly appreciate any advice, suggestions, or alternative approaches. Thanks!

I see Bali has a 30 day exempt visa at entry. Am I right in thinking. That if I fly out there for a few days to a week, the day my tourist visa expires. On my return to Thailand my passport will be stamped with a 60 day exempt.

How much did you guys pay for your cooking course to apply for the DTV ?

I came across an ad earlier that charges ard 9000 THB over a 5-year course with only 1 lesson Per mth - over a zoom seminar

.... I wonder if this type will get approved 🤔 ?

This 5-yr deal seems pretty good as the applicant do not have to re-sign up for another course everytime we need to renew for another 180 days

Anyone tried to apply with something like this and got your approval for the DTV ?

Pls share any better/cheaper deals if you have any 🙂🙏

DTV APPROVED @ Jakarta, Indonesia

Applied on January 14th at 5am

Approved on January 20th in the afternoon.

I was not requested for any additional documentation as I had all my Muay Thai documents in order. I showed 6 months of bank statements. I did not have over 500k until I topped it up a few days before applying.

I highly recommend doing ur DTV visa here.

Now I guess the next step is to wait till 90 days gets closer and do my 90 day online or possibly in person. I have been here in Thailand already on a ED visa but canceled it when I departured the airport.

Any questions please comment and I will try to answer them all. Thanks to everyone in the group.
