Hi Everyone,

Some advice needed please.

I am a British national and received a 1 year Non 0 based on having a Thai child multiple entry visa from The Hague which expired Feb 2022.

I arrived in September 21 and and got fined 4 days overstay in Dec 21 ( Me and my family were quaratining at home so unable to get the visa extension )

I got a visa extension until Mar 22.

I got a new extension stamp based on being father which expires Feb 23.

My new stamp is different to my other yearly stamps I have had in the past.

"Notification of residence must be made every 90 days" is part of the stamp.

My 90 days is due 10th June, I am due to leave 19th July, can I just notify my residence on the app??

If I don't have to leave why was I fined overstay in December??

If I do have to leave what are the best options land or air??

Thank you for any advice you can give

Cheers

Alan

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a British national, is seeking advice on 90-day residence reporting requirements, visa extensions, and the reasons behind a fine for overstaying. They explain their visa situation, clarifying that they have a Non-O visa extended until February 2023 and are due to report their residence by June 10. Responses indicate that the user must file a 90-day report either in person or via an app if they are in the country on the due date, and they emphasize that staying beyond the 90-day period without a report resulted in previously incurred fines.

A 1 year multiple Non O gives you 1 year right to enter Thailand but every time you enter you get only 90 days right to stay. Thats the way you started. If you did not leave when the 90 days where over then you overstay. Even being in a hospital with major surgery doesnt give you a right to ignore that. If you are not able your caretaker, sometimes the hospital, can request a medical extension.

I think you're confusing a 90 day report with a 90 day border bounce. It sounds like in previous years you had to leave for a new stamp every 90 daysbut this year you can stay for the full year. Being here longer than 90 days means you must do 90 day reports every 90 days. You can do in person or in the app. If you are leaving in July and plan to return before March 23 you will need a re-entry permit to keep your stamp alive

The 90 day reporting is simple. IF you're in the country when your 90 day report is due you FILE ONE. If you're not you don't

So IF you have a 90 day report due (which you would know because they put a small paper in your passport telling you when it is due when you got the year extension) on the 10th of June and you're here then you FILE A 90 day report.

It's that simple

The fact you're leaving a month later doesn't even factor in..

Edit:

says you can probably do this your first time as well.

I believe you have to report once in person, to get setup and after that you can do it online/via app.

You arrived with a visa that is valid for entry for 1 year, but each entry gives you 90 days.

You need to provide full dates, did you arrive on 1st of Sep 2021, or 31st of Sep 2021? Either which way, it sounds like you stayed in Thailand for 94 days before trying to obtain an extension.

```
You said you have a new yearly extension that expires in Feb 2023, if you have an "extension" you report at your local immigration office each 90 days, or online, or by mail. Failure to do so is I believe a 1900 baht fine.
Also "best options" are totally up to you, and since that will be in Feb 2023, worry about it closer to the date with the whole border situation atm.
@Matt ******
Many people have had success using the new online version of the 90 day report for their first report.
New stamps, please share with us and highlight the changes from old stamps.
Without knowing dates but if you went in 4 days after your admitted until date you get fined overstay, staying in a hotel room does not give your leniency about visa rules and regulations.
It seems you are good to stay until Feb 23, as that is what you wrote, I not understand why you need to leave before that date.
