The US Embassy does not provide an affidavit of income.

Thai Immigration made the solution to this problem to let you show OR

12 months prior application each and every month a minimum foreign deposit of 65.000 Thb into your Thai bank account

OR

2 months prior application 800.000 thb on a Thai bank account.

As you did not have one of these 2 ways to proof of income, an appeal against their decision to refuse a brokerage account is useless and just a waste of time.

IF you have the stamp Extension of Stay based on being a dependent, cancel it one or two weeks before travel. Do not wait until the day of departure to run into an Immigration Office and when done hope that you still make it on time to the airport.

Make sure by reading the website of the to visit Consulate that you have all documents with you to apply for the Non Immigrant B visa.

Good luck.

@Mohit *********************
you can go between 24 Jun and 22 july to apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay based on being married.

The minimum 400.000 Thb deposit must be in the bank for at least 2 months prior application which in your case must be from 20 April 2023 to be on the safe side.

quick answer: What do you want and what type of visa do you have?
Robert *******
1.It does matter. IF you want to use the 12 months of monthly deposits the money must come from a foreign bank account and it must show the international transfer code in your bank book.

That is why many people had problems with wise transfers as they often came as domestic transfer and that is NOT allowed by Immigration.

The holder of the foreign bank account is not shown and of no interest.

Yes as being abroad does not count as being inside Thailand.

The 90 days reports are made IF you are 90 days consecutive INSIDE Thailand.

People may call it a retirement visa but retirement is none of the requirements:

The visa is called: Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years of age, according my calculators 49 is not over 50, but it may be different in the US.

You can apply before the last Admitted to Stay date for an 1 year Extension of Stay based on being employed in Thailand at your local Immigration Office.

You can not apply on-line for a new visa while residing in Thailand.

Just for your information and to avoid panic in the house:

You might go to Immigration if the date in your stamp is during closing days before the closed dates

OR

IF you go the first working day after this closure there will be NO overstay fines but you will get the overstay stamp in your passport and it will be registered in the Immigration database.

As the question is the best visa:

The Non Immigrant O visa based on marriage with a Thai National, reason is that you get 90 days on entry and possible to extend with another 60 days based on visiting wife.

The Tourist visa gives you only 60 days, can be extended once with 30 days (cost 1900 Thb) and after those 30 days you can apply for the 60 days to visit wife but that cost again 1900 thb and an extra half day sitting in an Immigration Office.

Save time and money to apply direct for the correct visa.
