Hi! If I came from the USA to Thailand on 60 days and then extended on 30 days would I be able to fly to Cambodia or Malaysia for 2-3 days and come back for another 30?
As many of us who have lived in Thailand for a number of years know, immigration rules can shift without much warning. I wanted to hear your thoughts on the new DTV visa, particularly regarding future enforcement.
How long do you think it will be before immigration officers at airports or land borders start requesting more detailed proof from DTV visa holders—such as:
– Proof of ongoing funds (e.g., showing that the 500,000 THB minimum is still available)
– Evidence that remote workers are still actively working for the company they listed on their application
– For those who applied through the Soft Power route, confirmation that they are actually attending classes or programs (e.g., signed attendance or progress reports)
Do you think this type of enforcement is likely in the near future, or will things stay relatively hands-off?
My inquiry is regarding workpermit cancelation & current visa status. My employer terminate my work contract on 31st March and cancel my work-permit while I am away for my holidays in my country. My current visa on my passport will be expired on 30th April and before leaving TH I purchased my re-entry permit stamp which will be expired on the same date of visa stamp.
Question is, right now with the current status am I able to return to TH using my existing visa on passport or It has been cancelled since the day my WP has been cancelled.
Note : New employer about to process my new work-permit. So they want me to return before the expiry date and for the visa processing. But not sure my current visa is still eligible to enter TH or not.
For those who entered Vietnam recently on the 45-day visa exemption to apply for the DTV visa — did Vietnamese immigration ask you to show proof of an onward or return ticket when you arrived? Is this an official requirement?
Just want to make sure I’m prepared. Thanks in advance!
My friend is being denied entry at Bkk and is being forced to go back to America. Immigration says too many days in Thailand they need exit ticket or visa. But they won’t allow them to purchase a flight. They want to enter on tourist visa but apply for DTV with gym
If you want to open a bank account it is very straight forward. Got to an immigration office and apply for a certificate of residence, after providing the relevant documents they will then ask you which bank you want to open an account with and they will provide a letter.
Don’t use an agent, don’t listen to everyone saying it’s impossible, it’s easy you just need the correct paperwork.
Banks are very happy to accommodate you when you provide the required documents.
Hello everyone, I am currently on an ED visa and want to change to a Non-B visa. I asked my school for a cancellation letter, but they refused because I still owe them fees. I am already outside Thailand. My question is: can I apply for another type of visa while my current one is still active?
If you have a DTV and you exit after six months, is it a mandatory requirement to have 500,000 bath in your account once again while re-entering Thailand? Will the immigration require you to have that money in liquid in your account?
Hello’s, when applying for an O- A visa from the US online , do I necessarily have to provide insurance proof and if so how do I get a Thai insurance without a knon address ( yet ). Or do I just come on a tourist and take care of the conversion once I get ther
So I have my DTV and have recently done my 90 day reporting at Cheung watthana.
My question is this
I have joined fitfac for the courses which expire in 9months...has anyone else done the same? And have they been told they need to reregister for more Muay Thai courses for the visa requirements ?
I asked fitfac and didn't really get an answer...maybe they don't know themselves
