Hi everyone! I entered Thailand on a Non Imm O visa in April this year and got my first extension in July. Do I have to deposit back the 400,000 in January next year or April?

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for your one-year extension of stay as Married to a Thai, the 400,000 THB must be deposited in a Thai bank account in your name at least two full months before you submit your application. If you plan to apply at the end of June next year, ensure the funds are in the account by early April to meet the seasoning requirements.

, if you are still at the same address, it's in Bangkok. Then you can apply for a new 1-year extension based on being married to a Thai between June 9 and July 23 (but it's the weekend so practically until July 21). Bangkok accepts extension applications when you have 45 days or less with your current stamp. Count 2 months for seasoning your funds from the date you want to apply.

you can go between 24 Jun and 22 july to apply for a new 1 year Extension of Stay based on being married.

The minimum 400.000 Thb deposit must be in the bank for at least 2 months prior application which in your case must be from 20 April 2023 to be on the safe side.

The funds need to be in the account for two months before the date you APPLY for the extension (not from when your current one ends) SO when it needs to be in to meet the seasoning requirements depends on WHEN you're going to go apply for the next yearly extension. At most offices you can apply when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp SO if you do that you need the funds in the account THREE full months before you go apply (as you'd apply a month before the extension expires)

Suggest your make your deposit more than 2 FULL MONTHS before you make your application.

The 400,000 Thai baht MUST be on Deposit in a Thai bank account in your name only TWO FULL MONTHS BEFORE you submit your application for the one year extension of stay as Married to Thai.

Can the deposit be done from my wife’s thai bank account into mine?

Yes. But suggest doing it earlier than 2 full months to be sure.
