There are many visa options to stay long term in Thailand, I suggest you take a look at the website from the Ministry of Foreign affairs or the on line visa application site and even the Thai elite websites and Board Of investments.
Sorry but a little homework must be done before we can start to point out dozens of possibities and all their requirements.
What kind of visa did you have and why did you get a new Extension of Stay?
To apply for an Extension of Stay based on being married with a Thai National (only thing that has 400.000 Thb as a requirement) you need to have a Non Immigrant O visa based on being married with a Thai National and I hope you guess that a wife and wedding certificates are usefull to show that you are married.
Okay, time to close it down. Amazing that people decide that a visa conversion at immigration is not an official visa and not counts as an official stay.
then you have to cancel this Extension of Stay and your work permit at the last day of working at your current employer and hoping your new employer has all in place to apply directly for a new Extension of Stay.
Are you still on the initial 90 days you got on entry using the Non Immigrant B visa OR did you already visit the Immigration Office and got a new stamp with the text Extension of Stay is permitted up to xx/xx/xx ?
In either way you need to go with your new employer to the Immigration Office and ask if it is possible to apply for a new Extension using the documents from your new employer.
In theory you can cancel and apply direct for a new extension of stay with a new employer, but sometimes not all parties can meet requirements or work together.
