Hey everyone. I filed for a 60 day tourist visum online (I'll probably get a 60 day exemption when I land but that one can't be extended) . Probably due to Songkran nothing happened for ten days. Then a mail came in this afternoon, asking for more documents. I can provide those, mostly, but I'm flying tomorrow evening. Should I still try? They want my flight ticket from Kuala Lumpur (where I'm now) to Thailand and my flight out. The first one I have, the second I can book. But then it gets complicated:
(From the Embassy email):
Travel booking confirmation: Please upload flight ticket from Indonesia to Kuala Lumpur and flight ticket out of Thailand (please make sure the accommodation is covering the whole stay in Thailand).
Document indicating current location: Please upload stay permit in Indonesia.
Now the stay permit in Indonesia is not a very clear document nowadays. But I can see what I can do. But I only have a hotel booked for the first week, after that it's still open. What can I do? Any help is appreciated
(Yes, I want to go for a pension visum after this, but first spend more time here to make sure. Been in Thailand for 4 months last year, in two separate journeys)
Hey all! Thanks for sharing all your info. I got approved for my DTV workcation from US. I went the DTV route as I was denied access to BKK about a month ago.
Now that I have the proper documentation I am planning to re-enter BKK tomorrow. Of course I am nervous now 😅even though I did everything correctly. When I arrive and they ask me how long I would I like to stay and what will I be doing. Shouldn’t I be able to say 180 days and that I will be enjoying the country and working as a digital nomad on my computer?
Any recommendations on how to best answer these questions?
Is it okay with the immigration officer if I show only a two-week hotel booking, even though I plan to stay in Thailand for 60 days starting this April 1? I want to find a better place in Phuket by walking in rather than booking online, and I will book the rest of my stay later when I arrive there.
Just wanted to share my experience applying for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Jakarta. I submitted my application on Monday morning, February 24th, and it first showed “pending checking documents.” By Wednesday morning, February 27th, the status changed to “pending approval,” and later that evening, it was approved.
I applied under the Soft Power (Muay Thai) category with Wildcat Muay Thai, and Meaw Boonpradub was super helpful in getting all the necessary documents together quickly (definitely recommend).
Documents I Submitted:
• Financial Proof – A 6-month bank statement from a foreign bank in USD. I had the required amount sitting in my account for the past six months, but I’ve heard that this isn’t always mandatory. Along with that, I also included:
• A screenshot of my account balance from my banking app.
• A screenshot of the exchange rate for that day.
• All three were combined into a single PDF file.
• Muay Thai Documents – Provided by Wildcat Muay Thai.
• Proof of Location – A picture of the Indonesian Visa Stamp in my passport.
• Scanned Passport
• Visa Photo
For accommodation in Thailand, I just listed where I was staying, but they didn’t ask for any proof.
Thanks everyone for all the information regarding the process!
P.S. If you’re planning to apply in Jakarta, you don’t actually have to be there—you just need to be somewhere in Indonesia. I didn’t realize this beforehand, and let’s just say Jakarta is not for beginners !
Dear Thai advice, for the 60 day visa on entry. Do I need to show accommodation booking for whole 60 days or will they allow initially 30 days booking first?
