I have a question for people who were holding long term visas before and during Covid. Despite the validity of your visa were you ask to leave when they closed the borders

I would like to bring my contribution on this platform to all members and their loved ones. For days in Thailand, cases of the new variant of Covid19 have been increasing the number of infected peoples.

The authorities have not yet taken measures or warned peoples to be careful, but they are disclosing on some platforms explanations about some vaccines, of the Astra type, because in minimal cases it occurs as an adverse result of the blood reaction.

Be very careful in crowded places especially in Bangkok. BTS, Subway, Trains, Buses and Shopping Centers.

Use masks and always keep your hands sanitized.

Be Safe !

I got a particularly bad dose of covid 3 months back which left me bedridden for 5 days and house bound for another 5. Just wondering what happens if you are on a 30 day exempt entry and you come down with covid on say, day 28. You'd have to get a PCR test as evidence I would imagine which would mean a lot of public exposure, and you'd hardly be able to front up to immigration for a visa extension.I have taken out insurance that includes sickness and trip disruption, but that's not going to help with overstay. (I turn 70 while away)

If so what are the requirements or what do i need to do , we really need to get back to uk asap l . [i'm also petrified i will go down with it as well [doing all i can to prevent that happening though]. This all v stressful! Thanks for any help .

Hello! Coming from Colombia, with a colombian passport. it looks like the passport needs to be mailed to thailand to get a visa put in the passport. has that changes since covid? the passport arrives to colombia in one week, and planned on going over in two weeks to thailand, however it seems that may not be possible now. has anyone traveled from colombia or have any insight?

Hey All, I just arrived at DMK - I was not asked for proof of vaccination. BUT I almost did not make it on my plane back from Vietnam because Airasia was giving me trouble accepting my photos of my vax cards (I’m double vaxed). A couple that wasn’t vaxed didn’t make it through. Please call your airline ahead of time and check with them. They appear to be much stricter than Thai immigration (at least AirAsia).

Tldr; airlines strict enforcement on double vax, Thai immigration at DMK not strict as of today.

Ok. so we’ve got some media reports of what’s come out of a meeting today. None are confirmed actual happenings but just speculation of what may transpire. As Douglas Adams said “Don’t panic”. It may transpire that you’ll need to prove covid shots (no mention of those that haven’t had a vax). It may transpire that you’ll need insurance in the case that you’re going to be traveling to a country that requires a PCR test. Guessing what will actually be the case is just crazy at the moment. We don’t know. The government don’t know. Immigration officials don’t know. The next couple of days may clarify what the new rules will be. Speculation prior to that is just that. Speculation.

Just got back from my 30 day extension ( bkk ), had an appointment at 11am, arrived around 9.30. Surprisingly very quiet there, had my passport back in 20min. They didnt ask from the tm30 (I only have stamps for bkk) I'm pretty sure i saw Mr Daniels there to keep all of us updated with the right information. Thanks for that!
