So my question is if the visa is good for five years, why should you apply no less than three months before you intend to enter?

I’m asking because I want to go to Japan first and usually the previous Thai tourist visa you could enter at any time

I have just extended my 60 days visa free with 30 day extension. I fly to Malaysia in January for a few days with my Thai girlfriend and I'll hopefully get another 60 days on return.

I want to convert to retirement visa but I read that you have to have money in a Thai bank for 3 months first but I also read you cannot do this if here as a tourist.

Is anyone able to advise the best way to get this done? Pay for visa agency or is it possible to do myself? Do I have to be out of the country to arrange? I am able to transfer 800,000 thb into a Thai bank account if I can open one.

I'm sure this question has been asked many times before but it's all very confusing when trying to arrange for the first time.

Any help would be appreciated 😀

Hello,

I am hoping to plan a move to thailand in 2025, I have a remote job for which I net over 3000cad/month.

I dont have the saving requirements that I saw online. Is it possible to get a long term visa without having those savings I saw online?

Thanks,

Hi All, I am investigating longer term Visas for Thailand. I am from the UK. I have a longterm girlfriend here and have recently retired. A marriage visa is the ultimate goal. However on some of the Visa requirements proof of Medical Insurance is required. I had a Heart Attack in 2018 which required a stent, on speaking to AXA, they told me it will be impossible to get any Insurance. I understand pre-existing conditions maybe excluded, but they said "not possible to get any insurance". Has anyone had recent experience of this and can point me to a solution? Thank you in advance.

If I rent a condo for a year.

1) I enter Thailand with my DTV multiples times over the year does my landlord have to submit a new TM30 every time I leave & come back ?

2) I travel around in Thailand and stay at various Hotel. They will submit a new TM30 at every stay does it invalidate the one my landlord made on my arrival ? Do I need to request a new one when my travel is done ?

Thanks for the help.

If I get approved for the DTV and get stuck in my country for a few extra months finishing out things, how long do I have to travel to Thailand to begin the process.Meaning If i already am apporoived say todat but cant travel there until feb. Is is valid to begin in 90d or 180. I know the visa is valid for 180d but, best I understand that is from when you land in Thailand, not when it was received. In case I'm incorrect on that, I cannot find anything concrete I may want to wait. I want to go immediately but, things may hold me at home for an extra month or 2. Trying to get my ducks in a row. I asked 1 question and all I got was condescension. If anyone knows the answer, then you are much appreciated. Anyone telling me i'm entitled for wanting to know such things or wait to apply, dont bother answering. I may be able to leave home almost immediately so I want to be ready but, may not due to things I cannot control. I'm not a winter person and dont want to sit around waiting if dont have to. Much thanks

Hi, i’ve seen a good flight ticket going to Tapei. But i discovered there is a stop in Seoul. Which of these two places is easier (time, no boring, live cost waiting) to apply for DTV (for the ones who did it) ?
