I was on an extension of stay based on employment that was due to expire on the 31st of January.
I am based in Bangkok but travelling in Kanchanaburi this week and after yesterday announcement I have panicked and decided to do a Covid extension here in Kanchanaburi.
Correct me if I am wrong but I think I got an under consideration stamp and the officer told me to come back next week for the extension.
A couple of questions:
- is this normal?
- is it certain that I am going to get the 60 days?
- Do I need to bring anything when I go back to Kanchanaburi next week?
Many thanks for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user was on an extension of stay based on employment set to expire on January 31. They attempted to apply for a Covid extension in Kanchanaburi but are anxious about the process. They are unsure if receiving an 'under consideration' stamp is typical, if they will secure the 60-day extension, and what documentation they need to present during their next visit. Respondents confirmed that returning on February 1 with the payment receipt and passport is necessary, suggesting that getting an extension is likely.
