So I just got my covid extension today it says come back in 1 month giving me 2 months total..

I'm good until March 23rd. .

I've been told that the the new covid visa is good until March 25th is this true ?

I'm hoping to the get the extension again if this is the case ....

What are my other options ..

If I have 400.000 baht in the bank can i get an O VISA I believe? Or must I be married ??

Thanks for your advice ....

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has received a COVID visa extension valid until March 23, and is inquiring whether they can extend it again, as they heard the new COVID visa program may be valid until March 25. They also discuss potential options for obtaining a Non-O visa, mentioning having 400,000 baht in the bank. Responses indicate that the 400,000 baht requirement is generally related to marriage, and that there are additional options based on having a Thai child or being over 50 for retirement. There is uncertainty about the COVID extension policies moving forward, encouraging users to stay updated on the situation.

Okay boyz & squirrellz on that note we are done. The O/P successfully got their covid extension today and it remains to be seen IF they can apply for another one or not.

I am terribly sorry for asking you

Just wondering, what type of visa did you have before?

I was on a visa upon entry 30 day extension

great (y) that's what they were saying about the new program that you could apply for a covid extension on visa exempt entry AFTER you had the 'regular' 30 day extension already.

Thanx (y)

do you think in 2 months before the 25th of March I can get it again.... it expires on the 23rd

@Gael *****
I think you need to see what the reports are after a few weeks of this new program running.
Ellie *******
The new program will be until 25 March. This means people have this period to apply for an extension based on being unable to travel due to the Covid situation. It doesn't mean your extension will be until then.

If you have a half Thail child and have a parental right, you may be able to get Non-O for that reason with 400K funds without being married to a Thai national.

okay you just got a covid extension good for 60 days and you're already worried about if you can get another one?

How about you dial it back a notch, be glad there is an extension like this to get and SEE what happens as this new program takes hold

@Gael *****
no idea how that program will be going 1.5months later. What you can do is keep watching the news and research your options for your plan B.

I have a girlfriend I care about and I'm not trying to rush into marriage trying to keep it going as much as long as I can. And I can't retire I'm too young.

@Gael *****
and you should have gotten a tourist visa, or special tourist visa before you came here rather than just showing up on a 30 day visa exempt entry and hoping for the best.

As I said you got the 60 days which you wouldn't have gotten if there wasn't a covid shit show, so be happy, and lets see how this new program pans out.

None of this was planned buddy. Love came knocking on my door 55 but I'm hoping since my extension ends March 23rd I can go for another one because it's before the deadline

500K for a foreign child?

You need to be married for the 400k based on marriage. If you're over 50 you can get a Non-O based on retirement but that's 800k

I'm only 28. I wish. I have a girlfriend and her mom definitely wants me to marry her ...but I'm not rushing into things

What kind of visa did you have and why did you get a new Extension of Stay?

To apply for an Extension of Stay based on being married with a Thai National (only thing that has 400.000 Thb as a requirement) you need to have a Non Immigrant O visa based on being married with a Thai National and I hope you guess that a wife and wedding certificates are usefull to show that you are married.
