TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is currently on a COVID extension and is seeking a long-term visa in Thailand, specifically asking if the ED (Education) visa is the only option. Responses indicate that there are multiple options for long-term stays depending on various factors, including the individual's age and purpose of stay. Suggestions were made to consider the Thai Elite visa for those under 50, as well as the necessity of researching various visa types and their requirements.

We do not know your purpose and length of stay.

There are many visa options to stay long term in Thailand, I suggest you take a look at the website from the Ministry of Foreign affairs or the on line visa application site and even the Thai elite websites and Board Of investments.

Sorry but a little homework must be done before we can start to point out dozens of possibities and all their requirements.

Lots of options but they all have various requirements. If you're under 50 the elite visa might be the easiest option
