Hanoi Requirements

I’m just looking at the requirements for hanoi and it states you have to be a legal resident? Does this mean you have to be a permanent resident or am i confusing it?

Just arrive yesterday, with a e-visa for 87 days in my own country Canada, the agent stamp me for 60 days, told me only 60 days, i tlod him that , i dont even need a visa for 60 days, but how can you argue!!! I will go at the immigration to understand, what’s the point of making a visa if is no good when you enter!!!

I want to visit Thailand for 3-4 months. I don't have 800,000 baht in the bank! What is the best visa/visa renewal combination for me as a UK citizen? I am happy to leave for a neighbouring country and return.

Re-Entering Thailand

Hello. On December 15. I have been in Thailand for 90 days. 2 months on arrival card and one month extension. That’s why I am taking a vacation to the Philippines dec 14. But with the new boarder run rules I am afraid to get rejected when I try to re enter the country. As I have understood it. I can only be in the country of 90 days a year without long term visa such as DTV. Have anyone recently tried to re enter Thailand after a 90 day period with just arrival visa?

If I try to come back to Thailand dec 26, will that be a risk? Should I wait to January, so that hopefully i can get 90 more days since it’s a new year?

Anyone can suggest a cooking course in Phuket (Bang Tao or Rawai area) that can also release documentation for dtv?

Is it necessary that the course lasts 6 months?

I would prefer 3 months as I'm not sure yet what part I want to live in, and definetely want to take part to the course.

Possible to obtain a new METV 3 months after you have used the last extension on a prior METV ?

I have been to Thailand 3 times in 2025 for Holliday for a total of 100 days…can I go to Thai in Feb 26 for 40 days due to new rules that came out 14 nov25

Maybe a silly question but I’m kind of stumped here. How do I prove my current address? I’ve been in SEA for the past 6 months just hopping around on tourist visas. Came home to apply for the DTV. No passport stamp on entry to the UK, I don’t drive, living at home with parents before I left for Asia so no utility bills. I can submit a bank statement but it hardly proves I’m actively in the UK. I have flight info back to the UK and a physical boarding pass, is this sufficient? Any other suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Sawadee mai.to everyone. I fill the e,visa application for family. They say ready to submit. But went come time to pay nothing is happening?. Try at least 15 time. Any one know why.
