I’d like to ask for advice from those who have registered a foreign marriage in Thailand and obtained Kor Ror 22 at a district office (Amphur).
I’ve heard that some Amphurs keep the original foreign marriage certificate, while others only keep a certified copy. We only have one original document, so I’m a bit concerned.
Does anyone have recent experience with an Amphur that did not retain the original and accepted copies instead?
I understand that procedures can vary by district and may change over time — just hoping to learn from others’ experiences to choose the best option.
My passport expires on the 6th of June 2026 and I'm planning to visit thailand on the 17th of December, will it be a problem since I don't have six months validity? I hold an Indian passport.. thank you.
I’m looking for a good hotel in Ho Chi Minh City where I can stay for a while while waiting for a visa. If anyone has recommendations or experience with hotels in the city, I’d really appreciate it!
No more questions now from me as I feel I have all the information I need to successfully move to Thailand to live. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me.
I had many comments on my last post that Kasikorn bank was the easiest to set up account. I just left there because my wife (who has dementia and who won’t even be on the account couldn’t sign her name exactly the same on 3 documents. Again, she won’t even be on the account. Going to try SCB bank. I guess Kasikorn doesn’t want my money.
the law. It was suggested in my previous post on the Bank not wanting to allow me to open a Bank account even though I was on a type O visa had my lease agreement and everything.
My flight arrives at 11:30 PM. Does anyone know if there will be long lines at immigration? I've seen pictures of huge queues and I'm not sure if it's worth buying the fast track pass.
I'm a 46 year old woman from UK. I'm planning on moving to Thailand on DTV soon and looking to rent a property for myself for 3, 6 or 12 months. (I may move around Thailand but coming to Phuket first). I've heard there are lots of scams with renting property.
Can I ask what I need to check in terms of documents, information, credentials, bank accounts, ID, qualifications and anything else to make sure both the agent and landlord are legitimate and my rent is going to the correct account etc?
Edit. I'm aware to not transfer online and wait to view and meet the person. My question is related to documents, info ID as above.
