Easy way is to apply for the Non Immigrant O visa, get 90 days on entry and prepare all for the 1 year Extension of Stay after 60 days at Immigration

You can apply for the METV in Singapore, be aware they use their own on-line system.

There is no minimum time a person must be outside Thailand to apply for a new visa, there is also no limit on how many Visa Exempt Entries a person can use when flying into Thailand, it is only limited to 2 a calendar year when using land borders.

BUT the Thai Immigration Officers are allowed to start asking questions on why you use this kind of visa or visa exempt to live and work inside Thailand.

It is OR 20.000 Thb in cash OR equivalent currency. So AUD will do.

If you are to late no matter how many days, the fine is 2.000 thb.

The requirement is at least 2 months prior application date on a Thai Bank account. If this is supposed to be one account or more is the decision of the Immigration Officer. But be aware that all accounts have to be on your name.

If you stay inside Thailand the count of days being in Thailand continues.

If you leave Thailand to obtain a new visa the count stops on departure and starts new on entry.
