First of all she need to cancel her work permit and her Extension of Stay based on employment in Thailand. BUT before she does that, she has to make sure that the employer of her husband is willing to give the support documents to apply directly for an Extension of Stay based on depending a foreigner with a long stay in Thailand.

Life gets so much more easy if you apply directly for a visa that fits your purpose of stay, as you have just applied for the 30 days extension based on tourism you have enough days left to apply for a conversion to a Non Immigrant visa.

Check the list for which country you ask for.

IF you have the Extension of Stay based on being employed inside Thailand, you have to cancel this Extension of Stay on your last day of working and apply directly for a new Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age (short retirement visa) and show that you have 800.000 Thb in a Thai bank and there is NO question where that money comes from. There are a few other requirements like copies passport, map etc.

I guess there is some misunderstanding in the question.

You are years in Thailand and you worked for years in Thailand as it seems from your answers, may I assume you have a current legal stay with an yearly stamp from Immigration as Extension of Stay permitted up to xx/xx/xx based on working here?

The TM30 form is a form with number 30 from Immigration used to register you, if you did your registration online, you do not have to do it again in person using a form.

Not the first time after you got a new passport:

If applied for 1 year Extension of Stay the Immigration Office put a small paper in your passport with the text that you have to report your stay after being 90 days in Thailand, report date is on that paper.

OR first time after you re-entered Thailand.
