I have delayed tm30 registration 3 weeks since arrival. Chonburi immigration wants 1600 baht fine. Ive heard it can be twice less, perhaps in another province.

But what if i dont do registration and exit the country without visa extension, can i avoid paying a fine?

Hi everyone I’m coming to Thailand at the end of December. On arrival I will get 60 days stamp my question is i would like to stay a extra 30 days at what point can I apply for the visa extension also I will be travelling around will that be a problem.

Does anyone know if I can extend my Thai visa exemption (60 days) in the Trang immigration office? I don't really want to go up to BKK. If I can, what do I need for this, and how far in advance can I extend it? thanks

I am going to Chiangmai for a week. I have not left Pattaya for an overnight stay since Covid days. I can't recall if I need to check in with immigration for the TM30.? I will be staying at a hotel. Thanks

I flew in and received a 60 day visa exempt on UK passport.

I want to extend for another 30 days, making total 90 days.

Can this be done from your first day of arrival onwards or does it have to be towards the end of the 60 day visa exempt to get the full additional 30 days extension?

Also am I best to extend in Patong office or when I go to Koh phangan? Is there one thats quicker and more efficient you would choose?

Does anyone know of a process of moving DTV e-visa to a new passport? Can it be done in Thailand or you need to go back to consulate where you received the DTV?

Just wanted to share that I successfully got the Residential Certificate today at the Chaeng Wattana Immigration Office. I have a DTV. I brought them my TM-30 that my landlord gave me a week after I moved in; a copy of the info page of my passport; a copy of my visa and entry stamp, and that’s it. I checked the boxes for wanting to get a drivers license and buying a car and so they charged 400 baht which I paid right there in cash. They gave me a little slip as receipt and said it would reach me in seven days by post. Also, I’ve only been here for 42 days so the 90 day requirement/report was not necessary there. Good morning everyone. I’m on dtv and luckily have a bank account with Bangkok Bank since 2018. unfortunately my home branch is in a town in isaan and i live in Bangkok now. So i thought i give it a try and just went into a random branch. Of course, they didn’t find DTV on the list but after some calls she said can open just need letter embassy. Does anyone know what this might be

Update a few hours later: I got a call back from a bank employee. She said just show something with a stamp from the embassy with my name on it. She was pretty honest and said bring documents they don’t even ask for. Like driving licenses, rental contracts. After a few minutes of looking at paperwork, they might just open the account. She agreed that their rules are somewhat weird and confusing and I shouldn’t just try again 😂

Update 2: the embassy sent me instructions how to order a Staatsangehörigkeits- und Anmeldebestätigung ( english: proof of citizenship and registration as swiss living in Thailand) from the ministry of foreign affairs online which i ordered now and will receive by post. I will ask them for permission to post it here to show you all as an example

I have a friend moving to Thailand next month. He's 80 and would be coming to get his non-O retirement visa. I've done this before so I know the ropes...

The question is - if he stays with me and shares in my apartment - which I am on contract for - can he still get into a bank if they require proof of lease or TM30 or something like that?

Advice wanted, I will arrive in Thailand on a DTV in December and will be staying at a friends house for a few months, do I register this at the local immigration and would I need something from the owner to confirm I’m staying there. I will be staying free so I don’t have a rental contract or anything.

Also I need to leave the country in February and then March for work a few weeks at a time. Do I need to register each time I return or just inform them when I’m leaving for the rest of the year in april
