I'm intending to visit Thailand in September, as a Czech republic citizen.

My plan is to go for 30 + 30 days extension then leave for 2-4 weeks and then return for another 30+30 days.

1. Is there any risk of not getting the extension during my second visit?

2. On some Czech websites I read that maximum limit to stay in Thailand is 90 days within any given 180 days period. Upon Googling and searching through Facebook groups I can't seem to verify this information anywhere. Hence asking here.

Thank you ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Czech citizen plans to visit Thailand for a total of 60 days, with a 30-day extension, followed by a 2-4 week departure and return for another 30-day extension. They inquire about the risks of not receiving the extension on their second visit and seek clarification on a rumored limit of 90 days stay within a 180-day period. Responses indicate that while entering any country has risks, there is no strict maximum limit on stay; it's determined by the visa and its extensions. Suggestions include applying for a tourist visa for ease of travel.

if you're concerned, then get a single entry tourist visa before you come the first time, AND then get another one before you return back to thailand in what ever country in S/E Asia you're in.

Other than that you just believe what people say insofar as you can get a 30 day extension on EACH 30 day visa exempt entry at the immigraiton office for 1900baht

Why not just apply for a TR60 tourist visa then no messing around with the 30 days extension of stay at immigration it's certainly cheaper this method from the UK not sure about CZ but would have thought similar

1. Plan sounds good, there are always risks to travel and to enter different countries.

2. There is NO maximum time you can stay inside Thailand, a stay inside Thailand is only limited by the time you get with a visa and extension of stay.

Some visa and extension of stay will give people 1 year of stay.

There is technically no limit as to how many times you can get the 30+30 in a 12 month period, but the more times you do so will increase the likelihood of awkward questions at inbound Immigration control.

thanks a lot for your quick reply! I understand that say Elite, Education visa will let me stay for a year or more. My concern here is about entering just a s a tourist. Will I get that second extension?

@Ondrej *****
The STV is a tourist visa which allows a stay of 270 days so tourists are not limited to 90 as you feared

yes it shouldn't be any problem.

Once you leave and return it starts all over with a new stamp and you are allowed the extension.
