I have a multiple entry 12 month retirement visa from Mumbai until March 2025. Can I extend this in Thailand or do I need to reapply outside of Thailand every year , 30 days before expiration?

Hey,

Do you think applying for DTV Visa with medical treatment (4 appointments on 4 months) in Chiang Mai while I'm living in Pai is ok?

It's just a 3 hours trip so it shouldn't be a problem for them if i go there 1 time per month, right?

Do you think there are enough appointments or on the treatment's period is long enough?

Yesterday afternoon two immigration officers visited my residence two weeks after my consideration stamp was approved and they had already visited while I was under consideration. I was irate as I felt it was an invasion of my familyโ€™s privacy and an unwarranted visit. My son was very sick, I had to cancel work as they asked to see personally and right away. They told my wife it was a random second check and they would visit a third time if a random check arised again threatening to take my passport and cancel my visa if I had not complied. I was close to losing my temper and I nearly video recorded their visit. I feel if their is a third visit next time I will video record the incident and go to the media as now my wife feels unsafe. I would just like to know if this is common practice or if they are targeting to harass us as we are a first time Non-O at their office and they have something against us for some unknown reason. I am sure a third visit would be an illegal practice?

So in my mates case i'm guessing , come from australia , get 60 day stamp. Visit IO office , get 30 day extension , have a weekend inLaos , cambodia or w/e , get another 60 days. Altogether 150 days ( circa 5 months ) ...go back to oz for short time , come back and do it again. So in the space of 11 months , get 10 here , legally. Seems to pale all the other visa options in to insignificance. ???

My parents received new EU passports, however, their retirement visa is in the old one- which is still valid, just has no more pages. Would anyone advise, if they need to go to immigration to a fix it into new passport or is it ok to travel in and out of country with both passports?

Thank you
