No, there is no financial requirement for the Extension of Stay based on being a dependent of an alien with a long stay.

You apply for the Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years of age, this visa gives you 90 days of stay and during the last 30 days of that stay you can apply at Immigration for the Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age.

Your wife can apply for the Non Immigrant O visa based on being dependent of an alien with a long stay inside the Kingdom, this visa gives also 90 days of stay and during the last 30 days she can apply for the Extension of stay based on being a dependent of an alien with a long stay inside the Kingdom.

What is needed at the Immigration Office in your region can differ, best is to contact them to be sure.

Copy id page passport

Copy visa page passport or copy e-mail

Copy entry stamp

Copy TM6 departure card

Copy Marriage Certificate

Copy ID Thai wife

Copy Blue housebook Thai wife (2 pages)

Pictures of you and wife in front house with house number

Pictures of you and wife inside the house

Kopy Kor Ror 2, still listed as married in Amphur database

2 passport pictures

Fee 1.900 Thb.

All copies signed with blue inked.
