Hello, I have a question, does anyone have experience with the 800.000 THB for an O-A visa, can you pay this amount in cash into a bank account or do Thai banks cause problems and require the money to come from this amount?

Or can you only pay the amount into your bank account via bank transfer? Thank you very much

For the first Visa OA how put 800000b on an account bank Thai ??

Then, to have an account bank Thai you must to have a visa long stay, no tourism…

I live currently in New Caledonia and plane to move in Hua Hin next year.

Thanks and have a nice day every body.

I renewed my retirement visa on 28 Nov 2022. Today is 28 Feb 2023, three months later. Does that mean from tomorrow I can dip into the 800,000thb in my Thai bank account (please say 'yes')?

I fell foul of this stipulation when renewing, thinking it was counted as 90 days and want to avoid the same fate next time around.

So just a question about the 800,000 thb needed in the bank, when applying for the lets call it retirement visa. If i have brought into Thailand some of my country's currency, and use the Bank where my account is to exchange the money and place it directly into the account, is that ok?. Or do the records have to show it coming from a foreign bank of mine? Tia.

Hello, could someone clarify for me if we transferred our 800,000 over on April 22 for a 1 year extension of stay based on the Non -O retirement can we go to Immigration (with all of our paperwork) on June 20 (60 days) or is it June 22 (2 months)? Am finding conflicting information. Thanks

Edited - posted March by accident, but sounds like we should wait until June 22nd. Thanks

Hi.

I am hoping to arrive Thailand on a Non-o retirement 3 month visa.

To make an extension in Thailand i read many times that the 800.000 Thai Baht must be in a account 2 month before applying.

But today I heard that for the first visa extension the money have to be in the account 3 month before.

Also i have to make the extension with at least 15 Days left on my visa, right ?

So, what is the deal ?
