My husband has a DTV remote worker visa and myself and two children are on a DTV dependent visa. I gave birth to our third child 5 months ago in Thailand and would like to get him on the dependent DTV as well. I am wondering if anyone has applied in Asia (i.e. Vietnam, Mayasia, Indonesia, Laos) recently for a dependent DTV and had success?
I have a question. I hold DTV visa for almost a year now and I also want my husband to apply for it as a dependent. We thought about doing so in Laos or Vietnam before however, I kind of want to visit to Korea soon. So, i am wondering if he can apply for DTV dependent in Korea (Thai) Embassy. Does anyone have experience?
My husband and I are looking to apply for the DTV as remote workers, and we’ll be bringing our 3-month-old along as a dependent. We meet the income requirements and have the bank statements, contracts, and invoices ready to go.
A few questions:
1. Which location seems to have the highest success rate right now? I heard Taipei was a good bet about a year ago, but I know these things change.
2. Can either my husband or I apply as the primary visa holder, with the other two listed as dependents?
3. If we apply in the next month or so, will tax returns be required—even though the financial year hasn’t ended?
4. Anything else we should know before jumping into the process?
I’m applying for a DTV visa at the Thai Embassy in Jakarta. Once that’s approved, my husband and child will apply as my dependents.
I already have our Brazilian marriage certificate and my child’s Brazilian birth certificate. Since Thailand is not part of the Hague Apostille Convention, I was told these documents would normally need extra legalization. This would cost me around 800 USD.
Before I spend that, I’d really like to know: for dependents, have embassies actually required fully legalized documents, or have standard certificates + translations been accepted in practice?
Any experiences in Jakarta (or elsewhere) would be super helpful. Thanks a lot! 🙏
What documents are required for non o dependent (Thai child)visa at Savvanket Embassy. Multi entry 5000 baht no seeded money. And is this even possible?
Hi, currently on a 90 day Non-Imm 'B' e-visa based on working for a school obtained from Vientiane, due to expire on Sept 24. I have decided this isn't the school for me. I deliberately put off applying for the work permit and extending the original visa so there are no issues on that front. My question is can I apply for a 60-day visiting family extension based on my half-Thai son before Sept 24 to tide me over until I find a more suitable employer? Many Thanks!
I received my DTV one year ago, and now I would like to add my wife under the family category so that she can also receive DTV. We both currently live in the U.S.
Has anyone gone through this process before? If so, could you please share your experience or provide some guidance on how to do it? I’d really appreciate any advice or tips.
Hi guys, my partner and I are considering coming to Thailand long term. I’m considering a DTV for a Freelancer/Remote Worker and meet the criteria. She is also a freelancer but doesn’t have enough saved to apply for this visa. Wondering if it’s possible if I can add her to my application, even though we aren’t married?
