Once you have this Non Immigrant O visa, you can apply after 60 days for the Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age.
For this the money needs to be in a Thai bank account on your name for at least 2 months prior application until 3 months after application date and rest of the year not less than 400.000 Thb. Pattaya Immigration can ask you to come back 3 months after you have this Extension to show your bank book again.
To apply for a conversion of your Visa Exempt Entry into a Non Immigrant O visa based on being over 50 years of age there is NO seasoning of money required.
There must be a bank letter that the money is on a Thai account on your name and a second letter that the money came from abroad.
Until the date mentioned on the Visa as valid until or enter before. After that date the visa is not valid anymore and a new visa is needed.
