Good day, Everyone !
One of my family member just renewed his passport, and we are going to extend retirement visa for another year soon .
Because usually he is using the monthly income/pension to extend yearly visa, but this year we decide to use bank deposit to extend visa for our first time . 800k already in bank for last 10 months.
My question:
1: Bank Letter MUST issued in the same day when we apply for extension?
2: He updated his bank book, but do we still need get 12 months bank statement from Bangkok bank ?
3: We prepared : Passport copy, TM 30 , Last 90 days report , passport size photo, Letter from Embassy (changed passport), bank book update 800k , Bank letter (soon) , healthy insurance (may not need, but we do have). Is there any documents we still missing?
Thanks for your time and suggestion. Wishing everyone a great Friday!
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their process for extending a retirement visa in Thailand using a bank deposit for the first time. They ask specific questions regarding the requirements for a bank letter, the necessity of a 12-month bank statement, and if any additional documents are needed for the application. They prepare important documents such as passport copy, TM 30, 90-day report, and proof of funds in the bank. The comments suggest contacting the local immigration office for updated requirements, and the user later confirms successful visa extension.
