Hello everyone, I’m hoping to get some clarification about the financial requirements when applying for the DTV.

Myself, my fiancé and two children all arrived in Thailand about four weeks ago, we absolutely fell in love and are considering the idea of staying long-term, up to one year at least.

We want to follow the rules and remain in compliance, and according to what I have learned about the financial requirements for the DTV, the only thing that remains unclear, is whether or not simply having money sitting in a personal checking or savings account will suffice, or is the Thai government Looking for regular income being deposited into those accounts?

I have reached out to a handful of Visa agents, and cannot seem to get a clear answer on this particular question. Hoping to get some insight or feedback from anyone here, thank you in advance 🙏🏼😊

I know people talk about soft power for DTV visa and it has to be Thai culture activity. I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for 20 years. Why can’t Thai massage classes be considered a soft power?

Hi I am 45 and just recently retired. I want to live in Thailand full time. Are my options for a visa to stay long term just an education visa where I learn Thai for a year?

Will I be able to renew this each year until I am 50?

Thanks

Hey all,

is it right now possible to border bounce by ourselves?

My husband and I wanted to do a world trip, which ended in a longterm stay (6 months) in Thailand.

Now we are not sure if we stay really longterm and get a DTV or leave in 2-3 months.

As we have two dogs a border bounce by plane is not an option.

So we would drive by car and try to get a new visa stamp, without crossing with our dogs to avoid getting the export papers for them.

Is that currently possible, as many of you tell about struggles with border bounces?

Thank you 🙏🏻

May I have questions about DTV with cooking class? Is there anyone having the experience of extending DTV with cooking class after 180 days? Does it require you to enroll in cooking class again for the next 180 days? Thank you.

Greetings to the awesome DTV visa community here that has been so helpful to many people including myself🙏🩵🇹🇭🌴 I have a question and excuse me as I’m sure this has been asked many times before.

I currently have 90 day travel insurance. I will be staying in Thailand as long as possible on this trip. I might be able to get another 90 day insurance policy, but in the long run I need a policy that will cover me monthly as long as I need it.

I appreciate anybody’s help as to recommendations for a quality and inexpensive insurance program for foreigners here in America. Thank you in advance to everybody who offers good solid advice here. Have a great day!

I’m here on a 60 day visa on arrival that is about to expire.

If I exit Thailand and come back a few days later will I get another 60 days? Can I keep doing that over and over ?

What other options do I have if I want to stay here long term?

Hey all!

Question regarding the TM30. My spouse and I will be entering on DTV visas at the end of the month, we will be spending 1 month in an Airbnb in Phuket, then 1 month in an Airbnb in Chiang mi while we look for a permanent residence which we plan to have set up by the end of that month. Do we need a TM30 filed for both of the Airbnbs or would we only need the TM30 for our latest residence (which will be the permanent non-airbnb by the time we file the 90 day report).

Thanks!
