If it's not too late. I recommend reaching out to your hotel before booking hotel. Let them guide you through the process. I has serous issues and I think it was because the hotel was slow to respond.
I read in the Bangkok Post people can convert Elite visa into work visa. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why a person would want to do that.. But I think its a thing now.

Mexico is an option. I was recently there and thought about bringing my Thai friend down to visit. Cancun/Cozumel very nice to visit. Not too expensive. Panama allows Thai's to stay 180 days.

I am an American so I say with love. My understanding is, US Embassy are a bunch of dicks. From what I understand the process is not easy and takes a long time. But I have not ever applied for a US visa, obviously. Best of luck to you.

I think AXA charges the same if you are 30 or if you are 70, if you are vaccinated, not vaccinated, from one place or any other. Nothing seems to effect the cost of AXA, even when the minimum required coverage was 50,000USD AXA charged the same.
If you are getting insurance strictly for the purpose of ThaiPass, choose any other.
