So... an "Everything Else" question but how does a person go about getting a divorce?

I think it's amicable and nothing in dispute.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To get a divorce in Thailand amicably, you both need to visit any Amphur office where you can file for divorce. Bring your IDs and marriage certificate, fill out some forms, have a short interview, and pay a small fee. The process should take about 30 minutes if there are no disputes regarding settlements.

My ex put me in devorce papers as an owner of home ,not land.Hadnt heard of that before. Might have set her free earlier if I d known the house I built for 8 years could still be my final resting place.

Go into the Amphur where you got married with her say you want to get divorced. They will ask if you or her want any money etc as part of settlement. If not the pay small fee sign and you are both free persons. 30mins

what are you ranting about... Cleveland ? Where's that come from ?

He asked 'how to get a divorce ', plus although he is in Thailand, he may still help and advice from a lawyer !! What's difficult to understand about that.

Get off your soap box..

Because as others have mentioned it's an easy transaction here in Thailand, if it's amicable no need whatsoever for a lawyer, if it gets problimatical he'll find out at the Ampur won't he!!
