Kinda Thai Visa related. I have so many Thai Visa stamps in my passport it's time to replace the passport. I am US passport holder living near BKK (2 hour south). I read on the the Embassy's (US) site, that they've started a new policy about returning passport via Thailand Certified Post - Only. No more pick-up in person. Anybody have experience with this? Anybody have experience sending/receiving via Thailand Post? Anything words of advice? Things to avoid?

TLDR : Answer Summary
US passport holders in Thailand must now have their passports returned via Thailand Certified Post due to new embassy policies. Experiences shared in the community suggest that Thai Post is reliable, especially for certified mail, making it a convenient option compared to picking up in person. However, some users raised concerns about returning passports to addresses outside Bangkok.

And as you know, application of US passport and Thai Mail are not Thai Visa related. I close the commenting.

Can you get it returned to an address other than Bangkok?

Thai post is reliable, particularly if certified. I've never not got something. I wouldn't worry about it, sounds more convenient to me than having to go pick up in person.

Try a different consulate.

I recommend the Irish one, they are very friendly. You need a grandmother.
