ORIGINAL POSTER
Seoul - US Passport holder, tourist visa. No problems 2 day turn-around, website said 3 days. Wanted everything; proof of funds (bank statement), travel itinerary, accommodations. I had cash with me Thai Baht and USD. I offered to show her but she didn't seem concerned and let it go.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A US passport holder applying for a tourist visa from the Thai consulate in Seoul encountered a smooth experience, with a quick 2-day turnaround despite the website stating a 3-day process. The required documentation included proof of funds, which could be shown as a bank statement or cash. In this case, the applicant had both Thai Baht and USD but was not asked to present them.

Yeah, the way that works is for proof of funds at a thai consulate for a visa you show a bank statement, for proof of funds (if asked) when stamping in to thailand you show cash.

Thanx for the update (y)
