So I expect to get my replacement passport sometime this week. My current extension of stay is valid until the end of June. At that time I will need to leave Thailand.

Do I need to get my current stamp moved to my new passport if all I am going to do is leave. I have the old stamp in the old passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When leaving Thailand with a replacement passport, you do not need to transfer your visa stamp. It is sufficient to present both your old passport, which contains the visa stamp, and your new passport to the immigration officials when you exit.

You said you were on a marriage "visa". What happened to that?

To the marriage? The wife? or the Visa?

I am still married, I provide her a few dollars every month, she saves me a little in tax money.

The marriage visa is a pain, requires a lot of paperwork, and may require a visit from immigration. The wife prefers live in her village so it was a big ask of her to stay here a month until the immigration officer comes to check. Tourist visas are just easier.

my son's lived here 12 years, don't think immigration ever visited. But I guess if you don't live with your wife then you have to hope continuous tourist visas will be ok.

You just show officials both passports. No worries.

No, just bring both passports when you stamp out through the immigration when you leave.
