I have a question if anyone can help. I am an American currently living with my Thai girlfriend here in Thailand. I am trying to figure out how to go about getting her a tourist visa to come with me and visit my family in the US. Someone has said I have to go back to the US and apply there for her to come visit, is that correct? I want to be able to do it here as I am living here. What do I need to do? Getting ready for my wife to do her US tourist visa embassy interview. I am seeing conflicting information regarding medical exam. Anyone have current and direct experience on this? Required or not? It was NOT mentioned in the information given after the application was submitted and the interview scheduled. I think this is an "immigrant" vs "tourist" visa thing, but I want to be sure.

Are there third party Visa agencies who will help Thais get US tourist visa and help financially??? (ie: Money to their bank accout for the Embassy?) Thanks in advance.

I want to bring my Thai girlfriend to the US for 2 weeks but she applied for a US tourist visa with her mom 3 months ago and was rejected. She wanted to take her mom to the US to visit her sister who lives in Tennessee. Any idea why her appplication might have been rejected? Is there anything I can do to ensure that her next application gets accepted? Should I go with her to the US embassy and sit with her during the interview? Should I tell the interviewer that she is my girlfriend? I need to travel to the US for medical reasons and I want her to be there with me. Should I mention that? Will they even allow me to be there during the interview? I've never done this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! 🙏

Another thought on the subject of Thai women being able to visit the USA. I've read owning property is a big factor... Do they care much about if it is 1) a home they are the primary lover inner 2) their name is on a family home 3) if it is rice Rai with the family.

Also what is the income threshold where Thai people need to file taxes?

I'm an Aussie living in Thailand and thinking about taking my Wife (Thai) for a short trip to the USA. I can enter the USA Visa exempt, however I would like to hear of any difficulties in getting a Tourist Visa for a Thai citizen. As my Wife speaks only a little English, are translators available for the interview process, or could I accompany her? TIA
