Just wanted a little bit more clarification please; you've all been so helpful so far! Re the Ranong border bounce,we're definitely going to try this - a bit of a drive from Hua Hin but we are looking forward to seeing parts of Thailand that we haven't seen before.

My final Q is this,: I have been searching online for a list of the docs we need to have with us. I have read lots of interesting anecdotal stories but nothing particularly current . As far as I can make out, I should have the following docs with me; passport, proof of flight home, 20000thb and $10-20 dollars?

Obviously we'll need cash for the ferry and we also have our Covid certificates. Is there anything else we should have with us? We also have extra photos and copies of our passports and our proof of residence in HH. Do you think that will be enough? I know it's a long drive, but it's a little birthday trip for me. If for any reason it doesn't work,we still have time to drive to Malaysia, but we'd honestly prefer not to. Thank you again for your help and advice. šŸ˜

I need to do a border bounce this week. I live in Hua Hin so somewhere close ish would be preferable. I heard the crossing at Ranong down by Phuket is open. And rumor oh the one in Khanchanaburi, sorry for probably wrong spelling, will open after song khran. Anyone can confirm?

Press reports seem to indicate that the Kawthoung (Myanmar) - Ranong border crossing is now open for foreigners using passports.

For a while itā€™s been open for those holding temporary border passes but not for those using passports.

The Andaman Club crossing remains closed.

If anyone is up that way and would care to confirm that would be appreciated.

Hey loves! Iā€™m coming back and Iā€™m so excited. Planning to enter VOA before March (45 + 30) and then apply for an Ed visa. Iā€™ve been in touch with the school.

Is there anything else I need to be thinking of Iā€™ve forgot?

I fly through BKK unfortunately but I havenā€™t been in and out of Thailand (only one in last year where I stayed with COVID extensions for 5 months).

I donā€™t need any pcr or any other tests correct?

No proof of vaccine other than a paper?

Anything I have to apply for before entering - like the old Thai pass?

Hello. I havenā€™t left Thailand since Covid hit, I am on non-o extension based on Thai spouse. In July I will be traveling to Vietnam and when I come back (at least of of now) to my understanding will need re entry permit and health insurance covering 10,000$ for Thailand pass.

What are options for insurance? Help appreciated. How long does the insurance need to cover? I also have a work permit, if that matters. Thanks.
