TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the experiences of individuals obtaining Thai visas from the Consulate in Seoul, particularly focusing on the Non-Immigrant Type O visa for those married to Thai nationals. Comments reveal a lack of detailed information online, but members share that the consulate can issue a year-long, multi-entry visa without proof of funds. Some describe the process as straightforward with a two to three-day turnaround, and the requirement for onward travel proof is mentioned.

@tod I found that Sri Lanka has a 5 day turn around.. Is that common outside of the neighboring countries - to take so long?

nope, the norm is turn in one morning pick up the next afternoon. Until I read about the thai consulate in Seoul's 3 day turn around I was only aware of Phnom Penh having it.

, I know it's one of the 3 thai consulates in the area that will issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-Immigrant Type O visa based on marriage to a thai without proof of funds, BUT that's about all I know about it. I googled around and there are not all that many reports on the inter-web of people going there for their visas. :/

What I did find is that they require proof of onward travel and they have a 3 day turn around to get your passport (like the thai consulate in Phnom Penh).

@Alan often times members of this group can offer insights that the Embassy/Consulate's web-page do not. Particularlly if they are strict, quick, if they issue to non residents.

Unless they do a bus there and back for about 300 baht, I doubt it.
